8 days Shanghai-Suzhou-Tongli-Hangzhou-Shanghai

Tour Code:ZGF-04
Departure: Daily
Package includes:
Shanghai is the biggest city in the biggest country on Earth. If you simply scan statistics, this is China's capital of commerce, industry, and finance. But numbers don't tell the whole story. As a tourist city, it attracts travelers from both home and abroad by its commercial activity rather than scenic beauty. The city is not only a museum of East meeting West on Chinese soil.
Suzhou's interlocking canals, which have led it to be called the "Venice of the East," its classic gardens, and its embroidery and silk factories are the chief surviving elements of a cultural capital that dominated China's artistic scene for long periods during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Despite modernization, Suzhou remains one of the most beautiful cities in China.

There are many civilian houses in Tongli. Though they are not built along the riverside as those in Zhouzhuang, they make people feel wider. The river ways here are wider and made of bluestone flags.
The widely expressed Chinese proverb, "In heaven there is paradise and on earth there are Hangzhou and Suzhou" combined with the words of Marco Polo who described this place as, "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world" have helped to make Hangzhou one of the biggest tourist attractions in the entire country.
