Highlights: Longji (Dragon Backbone) owns the matchless terraced fields in the world. It is the crystallization of hard work of Zhuang and Yao people for hundreds of years in this area. All the terraces are just like chains or ribbons winding from the mountain foot to the hilltop. Tier upon tier and scattered high and low, they look like lines of silver chains in spring, layers of green wavers in summer, piles of golden pagodas in autumn and dragons playing with water in winter. Hiking along this area will help us experience the local minority culture and have an insight understanding of local’s daily life.

Day by day itinerary:
Day 01 Arrival of Guilin
Upon your arrival in Guilin, our professional tour guide will meet you at Guilin airport and transfer to your hotel.
[Optional] Evening cruise on Li River and surrounding lakes: You will enjoy the evening cruise through Li River, Fir lake, Banyan Lake and Peach River, which was part of the ancient moat surrounding Guilin.
Day 02 Guilin / Longji / (BLD)
The phenomenal rice terraces of Long Ji are a hikers paradise. We opted to hike over the top of the Dragon’s Backbone to the village of Ping An. The trail wove its way through rice paddies, bamboo-filled ravines, pine forests, and remote Yao and Zhuang tribal villages. Spectacular!
Longsheng terraced fieldsLongsheng county in northeastern Guangxi province was the earliest county to be established in southern China. Longsheng town is situated in a densely forrested area of over 2400 square kilometres and has a population of only 160 000 people. It is surrounded by mountains in four sides and lies 100 kilometres north of Guilin, as well as in the joint area of Heping River and Sang River. Built on the mountain slopes, the town boasts rows of tall buildings separated by banyan trees.
After breakfast, hiking 5 hours from Longji to Jinkeng, have lunch in a farmer's home in village Zhonglu. Enjoy the beautiflu scenery along the way: high mountains piercing into clouds, brooks, villages and minority people cut off from civilizations, fresh air, gorgeous terraced fields...., usually very few tourists are seen during the hiking. 
Besides of the famous known Pingan village of Zhuang Minority Ethnic in Longji Terraces, There is another famousJinkeng Rice Terraces, which is home to Yao minorities. Jinkeng Rice Terraces are located around 25 miles (40 km) away from Longsheng and 20km away from Longji Terraces, where you will be rewarded feats of farm engineering going all the way up a string of 2400 feet (800 m) mountains.
Day 04 Jinkeng / Guilin / (BL)
Reed Flute Cave This water-eroded cave is a splendid world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition.
Elephant Hill A symbolic attraction in Guilin, the hill is very like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
Day 05 Guilin / Li River Cruise / Yangshuo / Departure / (BL)
Drive 1 hour to Zhujiang Pier and cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo which takes 3-4 hours. Enjoy the most beautiful landscape in China, have lunch on board. Disembark your ship when arriving Yangshuo. Bicking tours in the countryside if time permits, or have a stroll on the west street of Yangshuo. Transfer to airport and see you off.

 Li River Attractions Endowed with unmatched natural scenery, Li River is a must-see in Guilin. Sitting comfortably on a cruise boat, tourists will be surprised by a succession of spectacular scenes, bewitching peaks and hills with different shapes, green waters, ancient town, pastoral view, ferries and shoals, and water buffalos along the river bank.
Yangshuo Sightseeing List Yangshuo is one of the most famous tourist destinations of China. It boasts breath-taking natural sceneries, mysterious ancient local dwelling houses and an insight into a diverse range of cultures. There are several areas offering different forms of enjoyment in and around the area.
